Workshop by Nikki Parmenter

At the end of July, three of the Alchemists travelled to Droxford for a delightfully inspiring workshop led by Nikki Parmenter – Plastic Entrapment. The technique involved sandwiching brightly coloured fabrics between layers of PVC followed by intensive free motion machine embroidery. Mandy, Alison and Sarah were so inspired that they have continued to create pieces using this exciting and unique method which will form part of the Alchemist’s Needle Exhibition at the Andover Museum in October.
