Guest Artists – Part 2

We are delighted to introduce you to another guest artist, Amelia-Rose. Amelia-Rose’s award-winning Global Textile Waste dress will be on display as part of our exhibition at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens which starts on Tuesday this coming week. Amelia-Rose was taking part in the 2026 Schools Fashion Design Competition at the Fashion and Design School at the NEC in March. She competed in the ‘Black and White’ competition against students from all over UK. She used hand stitching, beaded embroidery and a vintage tablecloth with lace. It was sponsored by Vlieseline, Janome and Madeira plus more. She even had to model her dress on the catwalk. The judges were impressed by the talent of the 14 year old, encouraged no doubt by her Mum, Katie who runs K&B Sewing Machines just down the road in Romsey!
