Sarah Maddison is a Hampshire based textile artist. She is inspired by landscapes and the emotions they provoke. From a wild, rocky coastline, to a newly ploughed field; from the most modern of cities to our ancient landscapes, with their standing stones, circles and forts, they tell a story.
For our exhibition at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens (21st July-1st August) Sarah has explored the impact of human behaviour on the natural world representing themes such as extinction and global warming. You will need a closer look to marvel at the exquisite detail Sarah skillfully brings to her hand and machine embroidered pieces.
Our sales table will be full of beautiful hand made items such as needle cases, jewellery as well as a wide variety of cards representing Sarah’s work. Sarah also sells her work through commissions and leads creative workshops.
